Save money on your faucets

WaterSense Faucets

Faucet Plumbing Services, Faucet Repair Services, Raleigh NCSink Faucets

Most of us know we can save water if we turn off the tap while brushing our teeth (as much as 3,000 gallons per year!), but did you know that there are products that will help save water when you turn on the tap too? WaterSense labeled faucets and faucet accessories (such as aerators) are high-performing, water-efficient fixtures that will help you reduce water use in your home and save money on water bills. By retrofitting your entire bathroom with WaterSense labeled fixtures, you can save even more. Our professional Raleigh Plumbers are experience and ready to make the switch an easy one.

Faucet Flows

Faucets account for more than 15 percent of indoor household water use—more than 1 trillion gallons of water across the United States each year. WaterSense labeled bathroom sink faucets and accessories can reduce a sink’s water flow by 30 percent or more without sacrificing performance. We could save billions of gallons each year by retrofitting the country’s 222 million bathroom sink faucets with models that have earned the WaterSense Label.

All products bearing the WaterSense label complete a third-party certification process to ensure they meet EPA criteria. Faucets and faucet accessories—products that can be attached easily to existing faucets to save water—that obtain the WaterSense label will have demonstrated both water efficiency and the ability to provide adequate flow.

WaterSense Savings

By installing WaterSense labeled bathroom sink faucets or faucet accessories, an average household can save more than 500 gallons each year. Also, since these water savings will reduce demands on water heaters, households will also save energy. Achieving these savings can be as easy as twisting on a WaterSense labeled aerator, which can cost as little as a few dollars. If every household in the United States installed WaterSense labeled bathroom sink faucets or faucet accessories, we could save more than $350 million in water utility bills and more than 60 billion gallons of water annually—enough to meet public water demand in Miami for more than 150 days! In addition, U.S. homes could avoid about $600 million in energy costs for heating water. Save money on your shower

Watersense Showerheads

Shower Installation, Bathtub Installation, Shower Repair, Bathtub RepairShowerheads

Showering is one of the leading ways we use water in the home, accounting for nearly 17 percent of residential indoor water use, or about 30 gallons per household per day. That’s nearly 1.2 trillion gallons of water used in the United States annually just for showering, or enough to supply the water needs of New York and New Jersey for a year! By retrofitting your entire bathroom with WaterSense labeled fixtures, you can save even more.

A Shower of Savings

The average household could save more than 2,300 gallons per year by installing WaterSense labeled showerheads. Since these water savings will reduce demands on water heaters, households will also save energy. In fact, a household could save 300 kilowatt hours of electricity annually, enough to power its television use for about a year. If every household in the United States installed WaterSense labeled showerheads, we could save more than $1.5 billion in water utility bills and more than 250 billion gallons of water annually, which could supply more than 2.5 million U.S. homes with their water needs for a year. In addition, we could avoid about $2.5 billion in energy costs for heating water.

The WaterSense Label

All products bearing the WaterSense label must be third party certified to ensure they meet EPA water efficiency and performance criteria.

Did you know that standard showerheads use 2.5 gallons of water per minute (gpm)? Showerheads that earn the WaterSense label must demonstrate that they use no more than 2.0 gpm. The WaterSense label also ensures that these products provide a satisfactory shower that is equal to or better than conventional showerheads on the market.

Performance Is Key

As with all WaterSense specifications, EPA included performance criteria to ensure that consumers will not have to sacrifice a good shower in order to achieve water savings. The EPA worked with a variety of stakeholders – including consumers who tested various showerheads – to develop criteria for water coverage and spray intensity. Showerheads are independently certified to ensure they meet these attributes before they can earn the WaterSense label.

Hot water on demand

Tankless Water Heaters

Tankless Water HeaterSave 30% of your monthly energy

Did you know that your water heater accounts for 30% of your monthly energy consumption? Choosing the right water heater for your home and family size is a very important decision, and is a huge factor in determining the overall efficiency of your home.

At Daniel Plumbing, we explain every option that is available to you and suggest the best option for your families needs. For example, many home-owners that already heat their hot water using natural or propane gas with a traditional tank-style heater, can benefit greatly from upgrading to a tankless water heater. Tankless water heaters are so efficient because they only use gas when you demand hot water, unlike traditional style water heaters which constantly burn gas to keep the water in tank at a pre-set temperature. Below is a graph showing you just how much you could save per year with a family of your size by going tankless:

The additional cost for installation of a tankless water heater will easily be returned to you in a matter of a couple years in most cases through annual energy savings. At this point your water heater will actually be paying you every year for the life of the tankless heater! Also, keep in mind that your new tankless water heater will last twice as long as an old standard tank-style heater. So you will be able to enjoy these savings for many years to come.

We try to stress to our customers to look at upgrading to a tankless water heater as an investment, one that will give you guaranteed return on investment, all while having the convenience of endless hot water. If the annual savings on heating your hot water and knowing that you will never have to take a cold shower again isn’t enough incentive to go with an energy efficient tankless water heater, take a look at the graph below to show the reduced CO2 emissions benefits of upgrading your heater.

We are experts in the installation of tankless water heaters for the Raleigh NC Metro area. Call our Raleigh Plumbers at (919) 605-3224 for your personal toilet replacement plan.
